Publisher of The Beat since 2006. Lifelong
musician, singer, songwriter and poet.

Christina Dore
Contributing Writer
Christina Dore is a Creative Writing graduate of UNCW. Not
sure what to do with herself and her degree, she spends her
spare time writing articles, bartending and yelling at
non-tippers, modeling at art classes and hitting the open
road in her trusty (so far) Camry. Originally from New York,
she lives in downtown Wilmington and tries to maintain her
shifting accent.

John Fonvielle

John is
a native Wilmingtonian/musician and radio host of WHQR’s
Magnolia Fatback Folk Hour airing on Saturday evenings at
8pm. We are honored to have John’s as apart of The Beat
contributor team and look forward to his musical perspective

Stephanie is a freelance writer who
enjoys the opportunity to tap into the creative community

Robert Workmon
Contributing Writer
Robert (Bob) Workmon has written about
music, dance and theater for the Winston-Salem Journal,
Greensboro's News & Record, and most recently for
Wilmington's Star News. His extensive public radio
career included two years as program director at WHQR in Wilmington,
NC, creating Midday Cafe and Smooth Landings, as well
as programming the stations classical music. He is also a
classically trained tenor and has appeared in A Little Night
Music and Grey Gardens for Opera House Theatre Company,
and narrates a series of IPhone applications for children.
